The Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), through the Lúmina platform, is offering, free of charge, the course “Coronavirus and Health Iniquities: collective health and critical thinking in times of pandemic”. The training has a workload of 30 hours, in distance learning mode, with the issuance of a certificate to the participants at the end of the fulfillment of all content.
The course is organized in three (3) modules:
The Module 1 – Coronavirus: central issues in pandemic times aims to revisit concepts and important and central issues for reflection, analysis and decision making in addressing the pandemic: the role of critical science; assistance and health care and the role of SUS; the conceptions of health, disease, vulnerability, iniquity in health.
The Module 2 – Coronavirus and scientific critical production front covid-19 pandemic aims to explore the critical scientific production across the pandemic on the health inequities from content selected by researchers and researchers from the field of Public Health who actively worked in curation of texts and other materials of a critical nature and Public Health, referring to the health of LGBT +, indigenous and black populations, bioethics, gender and violence .
The Module 3 – Coronavirus and challenges in the present and future aims to explore the critical scientific production relating to public responses to the pandemic, the role of the state, society and science itself and its epistemological dimensions in the post-pandemic challenges.
