To commemorate the 3-year anniversary, the Health Knowledge and Data Integration Center (Cidacs / Fiocruz Bahia) will hold a special seminar on Friday, November 6th with the participation of Sabina Leonelli, an award-winning professor at the University of Exeter, in the United Kingdom. Leonelli is the winner of the 2018 Lakatos Prize, an important recognition in the philosophy of science.
The event starts at 9 am in the auditorium of the Technological Park of Bahia. In addition to the lecture, there will also be debate with the presence of professor and researcher Marcos Barreto, researcher Gustavo da Matta and professor Giovanni Rolla.

Cidacs is located in Salvador, Bahia, with about 80 researchers from over 20 different backgrounds, using Big Data technology to answer scientific questions that arise among the five research platforms, including Bioinformatics, the Cohort of 100 Million Brazilians, Genomic Epidemiology (Epigen-Brazil), Equity and Sustainability, and SUS Technology and Innovations, all of which turn to the thought that technology, supercomputing, can help solve historical social problems such as inequalities. and their effects on the health of populations.
