Bahia records an average of 5 new cases of leprosy per day. It is the state with the highest incidence of the disease throughout the country. The subject was highlighted in the Bahia Half Day edition of TV Bahia, on Thursday (18). To discuss the matter, the report heard professor Joilda Nery of the Institute of Public Health (ISC / UFBA), who spoke on the issues related to the lack of control of this and other diseases linked to poverty.
