The PrEPara Salvador Project will participate in the UFBA Research and Extension Congress with free application of rapid HIV testing in men who have sex with other men, transvestites and trans women, aged 15-19. The tests will be held on October 30 and 31, at 5 pm, at Praça das Artes, on the Ondina Campus.

Play activities will also be conducted on strategies for combating HIV prevention and promoting sexual health. The actions aim to raise awareness among LGBT adolescents about the practices of prevention of major sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and about HIV Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP).

The tests are performed confidentially and the results delivered in 30 minutes only to the holders of the exams. Expansion of HIV testing and diagnosis is one of the main strategies for early identification of new cases, enabling treatment initiation and disruption of the viral chain of transmission. People diagnosed will be referred and accompanied by the PrEPara Salvador team to the Unified Health System (SUS) service network to continue the necessary care.
