“I have 44 years of professional life as a doctor and have never seen such a serious situation.” The statement is from the sanitarist Lia Giraldo (CPqAM / Fiocruz) about the oil spill that has hit the northeastern coast since the end of August. She is the interviewee of the Health Policy Analysis Observatory (OAPS) in December.

In the publication, the doctor also criticizes and warns the Brazilian scenario of pesticides and arboviruses, and highlights the relationship of the trade union movement with the health and environment agenda.
