The second edition of the “CoVida Bulletin – Pandemia of Covid-19” brings scenarios in which it is possible to observe the positive effects of social distance and the reduction of intermunicipal flow in the control of Covid-19 in Bahia. The researchers carried out mathematical models and arrived at results that reinforce the importance of maintaining social isolation measures in the State of Bahia: there was a reduction of approximately 27% in the rate of transmission of the virus.

Another data presented in the Bulletin indicates that the suspension of the flow in only 10% of the municipalities in Bahia was sufficient to generate a delay between the peaks of infection in Salvador and other municipalities.

Some of the study’s authors will be available on Monday at 1 pm to present the results and answer questions about the results. To participate, simply register at the link
