The Institute of Collective Health of the Federal University of Bahia celebrates 25 years of history with a special anniversary program. This Friday (4), at 9 am, will be held the ceremony to deliver the Title of Professor Emeritus to the academic Maurice Barreto, in the Noble Hall of the Rectory of UFBA.

Then, at 10 am, there will be a lecture with the theme “Health, Democracy and Civilization”, with the participation of the UFBA rector, João Carlos Salles, Professor Jairnilson Paim and the president of the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (Fiocruz), Nisia Trindade.

Then, at 11 am, the “Me and the ISC” Web Series will be launched, which will tell the story of the Institute through the testimony of teachers, students and staff.

For ISC / UFBA director Isabela Cardoso, the goal is to highlight the participation of those who helped to consolidate the role of the Institute in the field of public health. “ISC lives in its daily life the permanent challenge of stimulating creativity, renewal and consolidation of democratic principles and values ​​in the context of labor relations, internally and with our national and international partners”, celebrates.
