Brazilian researcher Enny Paixão, who is an associate at the Center for Data Integration and Knowledge for Health (Cidacs), arm of the Gonçalo Moniz / Fiocruz Bahia Institute, was chosen as the best of 2019 at the London award The Bradford-Hill Prize, in England.
Paixão held a doctorate in epidemiology at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, as a fellow at the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq), in London. And, during the development of his thesis, he was under the guidance of Professor Laura Rodrigues, one of Cidacs’ partners.
Paixão is a trained nurse, master in Public Health from the Institute of Public Health of the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA) and works in the research of the Zika Platform, which investigates the consequences of the virus in Brazil and was structured by Cidacs, in partnership with Brazilian institutions and international.
