The Ministry of Health is confident that the goal of measles immunization among children will be achieved with the campaign being held this month. According to the portfolio, after D-Day on Saturday, the country reached 88% coverage. The goal is 95%, but the campaign continues.
According to the latest epidemiological bulletin from the Ministry of Health, in the last 90 days alone more than 6,100 cases of measles were reported, with 13 deaths. 20 states are on the active transmission list, although 96% of confirmed cases are in the state of Sao Paulo.
Until October 25, children between six months and under five will be vaccinated. Already in November, the target audience will be young people from 20 to 29 years.
